Project Description:

A failed slope above the San Francisco Bay provided a logistical challenge for the installation of soil nails in an area where all equipment and materials had to be hand-carried to the site. Working from climbing ropes and site-specific scaffolding our crew was able to complete this work in a timely manner. Soil nails and steel mesh were installed using equipment custom made by Soil Engineering for this type of difficult-access work. An existing sewer line was re-routed and attached to the new soil nails.
